Vexx is a punk rock band from Olympia, Washington. Give And Take is their second release. Vexx play a chaotic brand of post-punk that brings to mind bands like Naked Raygun. The base of the music is clearly punk rock but these songs barely hang together in a fun chaotic way. Vexx manage to walk the line between hammering out a coherent tune with everyone in lockstep and feeling like everything might fall apart at any given moment. There is a thread of instability & unpredictability running through the lyrics that give everything a sheen of desperation. If you're looking for some intense post-punk rock & roll Vexx's Give And Take will serve well.
